Billy Apple
Uncle Jim Tortex are the bomb. Nylon!? Are you ill or something? I remember the pre -tortex days of snapping and slippy picks. Somethings do change for the better
BreadBin
This was about 30 years ago! Maybe I should give them another chance? I'm crap with a plectrum anyway..
Beer of the Bass
I've never snapped a pick, but I do wear the edges a fair bit, especially when I was in a band doing a lot of rhythm guitar. Nylon wears in a raggedy way, so I like the Dunlop Tortex or Ultex as they wear smoothly. The Gibson and Fender celluloid ones also wear smoothly for me, but a lot faster. Although I have owned several Gibsons and I am a d¡ck, so you may have a point. 🤔 Edited March 15, 2020 by binky_bass 1

I take for granted that you were thinking of the work involved for me when designing your last, stellar, version. I appreciate this and I thank you.

Probably do me for the rest of my life! Noooo, that's not how it works, at least IME; I've found that the rate of Pick Loss is directly proportional to how many you have: I buy them in 24s, and immediately lose half a dozen, whereas the last half dozen seem to hang around forever...until I buy some more...
musicbassman
Listen, stop giving this guy a hard time! In this pic, he's actually playing Stairway to Heaven in his local music shop on a Saturday morning using his new Vertical Double Mute technique (TM, pat.applied for) Obviously, it's in the early stages of development, but anyone who tries to copy this playing technique is going to feel the full force of the US legal system, oh yessir, they surely are ..... 2

merello
One of the great mysteries in life is why Gibson haven’t went full on in attacking the bass market. I think a full scale SG would be a great seller with a cheaper bolt on version. Imagine a full size Explorer bass?
