bubinga5
What a fantastic record from this man.i wasn't expecting it. My sister is a big fan so she plays alot of his stuff. So this record came up after a few, and my ears were alive.. Instantly I thought of the Micheal Mcdonald. Very Doobie Bros. David Sanborn on Sax. I just think its a brilliant record. imo. lowdown
I got this when it was first released, It's terrific. The great David Foster on Piano. Marty Paich arranged the strings as well. David Paich (Toto) is his son.
Captain Bassman
Get away from the cheesy stuff that he’s more we’ll known for (amongst the uninitiated) and you’ll find lots of hidden gems and top class sessioneers behind his incredible vocal range. Here’s one of my favourites, from the Vox Humana album. Sanborn on sax and Nathan East on his trusty Yammy... There’s also a really nice live version of this on his “From the The Redwoods” show featuring Shanice on vocals (who??) and Ready Freddie Washington on acoustic 5 string. Noice...
