mr zed
I have owned a couple of Fender USA Jazz Deluxe basses in the past (the pre 2010 model with the smaller body) and I want another one. Because they are not made any more, second-hand is the only option and prices and condition vary. Question is, are there any other manufacturers that make a small body Jazz bass? I know Sadowsky do one in their range but are there any others? I am looking for traditional styling. Cheers All.
fretmeister
Sandbergs are slightly smaller than a Fender, not quite Fender shape though. And if weight is the issue their Superlight series weighs under 7lb. 1
Reggaebass
Just a suggestion, My Sandberg California TT is considerably smaller and lighter than my jazzes, and plays absolutely beautiful 🙂 4

Cuzzie
Warmoth dinky jazz body for sale on eBay at the moment. Fill your boots and piece one together
itu
I think that a luthier will be your friend. They can fix the details you hate in your current gear. A bolt on body can not be too expensive, although wood and finish choices may rise costs. Lighter and slimmer body and curves to die for - every player will love her!
ezbass
Isn’t the Lakland Daryl Jones a slimmed down Jazz, or am I imagining it? The Maruszczyk Elwood L is certainly smaller. 1

project_c
2011/12 dlx J’s also have slightly downscaled bodies, I have one, I can’t really tell the difference between that and my regular J though, they feel the same when I play them.
therealting
The Warmoth Dinky J is basically the Sadowsky shape.

Merton
Maruszczyk have been mentioned already, plus I’d vote for a custom built Zoot Funkmeister from our very own @Cosmicrain - he built me this absolute stunner recently and I love it. Slimmed down body works perfectly I believe @sk8 currently has one in gestation too
Old Horse Murphy
Mike Lull does a modern Jazz bass with a smaller body and it is super ☺️
