Not surprising really. Aye but the main German lad in that thread messes about changing circuits , caps etc. Serial modders are never happy with anything stock 🤣
stevie
Well, this is what he says about it: Grundsätzlich ist mir der Preamp des 800b viel zu schlapp.
Nathan Navarro's opinion is not to be sniffed at. I'll take his word over the snide asides of those who automatically want to believe HB can't be any good because it simply doesn't cost enough.

I'm not too surprised he finds fault with the preamp in a £247 unit.
Newfoundfreedom
The biggest problem with this for me, is it comes in at around the same price as the Burgera Veyron, which is an absolute monster! Given a choice between that and this, I'd take the Veyron every time.

I guess the ICEpower ASC700 board lives under the hood like most of these new “800W” class D amps... Yes. It is a cheap easy way to get that ICEPower amp. dave_bass5
I forgot I had started this thread. As it turned out I got the Quilter instead. It was very nice, and had a punch that my other class D’’s don’t have, but lacked some features that I wanted so I sold it on.
EmpInfNed
does anyone knows if the fan is always turned on and if its noise can be considered loud or quiet?
