Saw them...I'm bidding on the one in St Neots.

Thanks

We actually drove past Gillingham this morning heading home along the M2, so could have made a detour to pick the other one up, but The Boss was driving and wouldn't do it. Oh well, it wasn't a perfect match for the one I've got anyway...

I'd like to give one of these a go for a small home setup.

There seems to be very little info available. I have several old brochures from around the time with the BLX combos in but the 1 x 10" cab doesn't appear in any of them.

Oops, I knew there was another Trace fan I forgot to tag - sorry @Deedee!

Yeah, they're odd wee beasties. All I can really say is they're 8ohm, rated at 150W, and some have a horn while others don't. From the pictures I've seen, the speaker can either be located centrally (like the two currently on eBay), or offset to the side like the two in these links...

Mine's one of the hornless / offset speaker variety, and for some reason the TE badge is in the diagonally opposite corner to all the others! And yes, the head may be familiar to you... 😉

Compact and bijou. Good to see the head's still being put to good use  👍

I bought one  a couple of years ago - lives in the front room under my AH150 and Elf - swap between the two as the mood suits. Great little cab - just as you'd expect from TE.

I don't expect to pick the next one up at a silly price - I think that TE are back on the up.

Yes, I've noticed that. An original (non-fan) AH250 SMX just sold for £200.

Well I bagged the Gillingham one, it arrived today and very nice it is too. In great condition and sounds fab.

Has anyone ever gigged with a couple of these? I think they'd do the job pretty well (small gigs or larger gigs with PA support).

Mildly jealous - I do have one but the one in Cambs was more than I wanted to pay....great little cabs and not too heavy, defies the TE reputation.

I just realised that I did bid on the one in Cambs and WON!!!

However the seller withdrew my bid stating that the cab was BROKEN. He's got it back up for sale.

I had a chat with eBay about this and was assured that he wouldn't be allowed to relist the item....errrr???? Exactly what the dodgy basstard has done.

I’ve messaged him for a laugh to see what he says.

That’s a shocker 😡. I think I’ll message him too

EDIT -   It now appears to have been pulled

Looks like I dodged a bullet not bidding on these. I have a TE 2X10 in the collection already so a second 1 10 isn't strictly speaking necessary. But hey, who's counting?

That guy probably cancelled the auction after the event saying it was ' broken ' because he didnt get enough bids.

It's an old trick
