TheGreek Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 At the first Herts Bash Andy from D'Addario brought several down to use - no idea what happened to them though. Quote
dave_bass5 Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 After a hectic few days trying out IEM’s, I’d have to say Memory foam tips (Comply, INAIRS etc) are a life saver. Everything I've put them on has allowed me to actually wear them. Cant find any Silicon tips that will fit my ears and stay in them securely. Ive had them on my Aipod Pro’s for a while, and my gym earphones. Without these little bits of (overpriced maybe) foam I’d have a very hard time using in ear devices. 3 Quote
Al Krow Posted September 2, 2021 Author Posted September 2, 2021 (edited) Just came across this on eBay and the angled heads are going to provide a useful space saving on my pedal board: DC BLACK CABLE LV POWER SPLITTER 2.5MM - 1 x FEMALE IN/2 x RIGHT ANGLE MALE OUT | eBay Oh and if you want more than one, do it via the "Send me" rather than the "Quantity" and they can then pass on the postage saving to you. stewblack Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Nice one @Al Krow - ordered a couple of sets Quote
stewblack Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Anyone mentioned these? If so, I believe they deserve another go. Apologies to Ped, to Grolsch, and to the homebrew stores who supply the rubber ones, but these are so simple to use, under 4 quid a pair, and go on/come off so much easier, yet keep the strap tight and safe. 3 Quote
PaulThePlug Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 ^ Presume a 'loop of lead' holder as well as a strap lock? Quote

Stub Mandrel Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Actually only one of these needed, but I have two Slazenger ones as well. 1 Quote
Al Krow Posted June 21, 2024 Author Posted June 21, 2024 Just come across these bad boys: 9 V Rechargeable Battery, 13500mWh 9 V High Capacity Lithium Batteries, I think that equates to 1,500 mAh, which is a little more than my current 9V batteries which are 1,300 mAh but not hugely so. Anyone come across a higher capacity rechargeable 9V? Quote

Baloney Balderdash Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 (edited) For slide bass, obviously (currently using a flat naturally polished hollow stone though). And... For hammering the strings, for a Dulcimer effect (currently using a pen with rubber grip though). Also... I'd like to get this one for being able to capo "open" strings chord shapes for slide bass (it's the dAndrea Spider XXL Capo that can be used for 5 and 6 string bass): Edited June 29, 2024 by Baloney Balderdash Quote
b7l4s Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 I use these stands too because they are so convenient if travelling light - but they are not the most secure, so you have to really (really) careful to only use them where nobody is likely to brush past... had a few close calls with people not looking where they were going 😬 2 Quote

paul_5 Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 iReal Pro - great app that I use now that I struggle with remembering songs/setlists thanks to long covid. Takes a bit of time to set up, but pays dividends in the long run. 2 Quote
lemmywinks Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 Used these on my KZ ZS10 IEMs last weekend on a wedding gig, better than both the stock tips and the Spinfit ones I was using, also dirt cheap: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006960679545.html Also grabbed these to convert my aux in to bluetooth, mounts to the back of my amp with magnetic tape (a couple of £ on eBay): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235674913502 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166276877339 1 Quote
