Black Guitar Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Hi guys, Under A Banner are looking for a bassist. You can find them on Twitter, Bookface and their website. Please try and commit yourself. They are an epic group and I know they are destined for great things. Don't waste this opportunity. Regards Black Guitar Quote
fretmeister Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 No links, no music type, no location? Is the band as lazy as the advert? 3 Quote
chris_b Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Google is your friend. . . . and a little initiative. Quote

Bobthedog Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Whilst I also think the advert is extremely lazy, it will also only encourage responses from the type of person who is serious enough to make the effort to look into the offer. Quote

You find the same with for sale ads on here. Some users have to be prodded several times to put in a location. edit - look at StewBLack's ad right next to this one for a masterclass in how it should be done. chris_b Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 It took me 2 mins to find them. You guys just prove that you're not suitable material every time you moan about the ad. They are a very good band. If I was 20 + years younger I'd have been sitting in the same room and talking to them on August 18th. 1 Quote
mybass Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Is this them.....took me 20 secs to find online. http://underabanner.co.uk Quote
jacko Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 The point that's been made is that we shouldn't need to go searching online (no matter how long it takes) when it would take the advertiser a couple of seconds to include the important points. Quote
BreadBin Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Maybe they are looking for someone resourceful? Quote
jacko Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 or maybe they're just a bit thick and don't know how to write a simple ad that gives someone enough info to know whether or not to investigate further Quote
jacko Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 BTW - I do my Basschat surfing at work - the underabanner website is banned. Quote
fretmeister Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Even if it was Metallica it would still be a stinky poo lazy advert. Quote
pete.young Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Maybe the band had nothing whatsoever to do with placing the ad? It looks to me like something that an acquaintance who thought they were helping out would do. 1 Quote

Either way, they seem to have found themselves a perfectly good bassist in Chris Bartle, though somehow i doubt whether it was on BC. Quote

Yes I agree..If it was a major act I'd make the effort but for this, I doubt it Quote
