Status Streamline D-tuner?

Hey guys,

I really, really want a Status Streamline. The only thing that's even vaguely making me hesitate (other than the price!) is the fact that it's not available with a D-tuner bridge. My Hohner B2ADB has one in the form of the Steinberger DB system, and it's bloody indispensable. I emailed Rob Green, and he confirmed that they don't provide one. It's not the end of the world, but are there REALLY no options for this?

it should be perfectly possible to make a monorail headless detuning bridge unit- Ibanez do a (headed basses) monorail detuner.

if Status and ABM aren't doing it then maybe Hipshot should design one.

I think the 5 string Streamline will be available soon,

It's a shame, but I really don't like 5-strings.

Do you guys reckon if I emailed Rob Green very nicely, he might be able to sort me out a streamline with screwholes for the Steinberger DB bridge? And would this be a good idea?

I guess you have answered your own question.... email the man and ask...

If the d-tuner is what you want, go for it....

(I love 'em but mine are on the squiggly bits on the other end to where you want yours.... )

Yes, the 5-string Streamline is on it's way this year. I was at the factory when Rob & Gerry were programming the mould for the 5-stringer late last year.
