Back from the electronic wizard and sounding brilliant.  Wife was out so I strapped it to a Barefaced Four10. 

Question... was this available as a head only or similar?

Sure I saw a thread here with just a head. But I'm old, my memory is foggy, and I've kind of glazed over after looking at that Trace./Barefaced combination.

There were head versions but they were all valve, namely the Quatra and Hexa Valve models. There was also a Twin Valve but that had the lesser featured 7-band EQ section. There were no hybrid heads (that I'm aware of), only the 1225V combo..

I think the only other hybrid was the VA400 shown at the bottom of this catalogue page, although I think there may have been a 300 or 350 version too:

Thanks kids.  It actually sounded better without the old school sounding Barefaced. 

Definitely want a head, it sounds awesome.

Of course, I'd forgotten about the VA series.. I'd love one! 😀
