I originally posted Telstar by the tornadoes, featuring Heinz in some good closeups! But when I refresh the page it is now the shadows! sod it, I’m going down the pub! 😡 Now I'm getting The Spotnicks?! 🤣 Quote

Apparently Melting Pot is now banned as racist, because of the descriptions of various nationalities, notwithstanding it was about unifying the many races. The Sky track triggered some some memories for me . I met Tristan Fry in a music shop in Manchester in the 70s . I played vibes back then and we both wanted to try the same instrument . I couldn't resist telling him my name . Quote

Chas Hodges was in the 2008 movie Telstar: The Joe Meek Story. 1. The real-life Chas Hodges played the part of Joe Meek's neighbour 2. The part of the young Chas Hodges was played by the actor Ralf Little Edited August 30, 2019 by skankdelvar Quote
Cato Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 (edited) The clip at the top of the thread is now changing every time I refresh the page. I'm seeing every music related youtube clip ever, apart from Telstar. Edit: I can't stop refreshing the page, it's like a music clip fruit machine. Damn my addictive personality. Ricky 4000 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 (edited) Well, I for one enjoyed the B52s video. 👍 If y'all have a moment, I once stood in on bass (literally, stood in a circle), with a bunch of middle-aged Shadows-ey guitarists - it was horrible. Way too many unnecessary chord changes if you ask me. I was far too young and good looking for the whole thing anyway TBH. leschirons Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 I'm getting Tip-toe through the tulips by Tiny Tim but Heinz is definitely on bass, Joe Zawinal on keys, and Gordon Giltrap and Frank Gambale on guitars with Bernard Purdey on drums. 4 Quote
