clauster Posted July 27, 2007 Share Posted July 27, 2007 I'm thinking of upgarding from my little combo to a bigger rig. I'm consider biamping. My question is is it okay to run a four ohm load on one channel and an 8ohm on the other? My logic says it should be fine, but I'd just like to get some feedback before making an expensive mistake. Oxblood Posted July 27, 2007 Share Posted July 27, 2007 Yep - assuming we're talking solid state here and of course your 4 Ohm load is not below the amp's recommended minimum impedance - the one with the 8 Ohm load on it will just be working less hard.
