jeddyd
I have a Custom Groove Bass 1200 amp head. The volume and gain pots are very scratchy. I can't get to them to clean them and am wondering if anyone knows of repairer over in Wales.
Pea Turgh
I used a bloke who sounds a little bit like Liam Neeson - Music Repair Services in Porthcawl. I’ve heard that there’s a very good amp & guitar tech in Gorseinon, Swansea too - Wyn something. I’ll get his number if you want.
Soledad
Just been through the exact same issue in Kent / SE London. Found a place in Guildford - but my point is it would be a great database for the forum: amp techs and guitar/bass techs by area.
Paul S
Would be a good idea. I would use any one of three in southeast Essex. http://www.essexamprepairs.co.uk/ seem to be industry standard here, based in Witham near Stag studios. https://www.electronicmusicservices.co.uk/ - these guys are nearer for me, near Prittlewell Church https://www.leightonsguitarshop.com/ - Leighton Jennings is even nearer in Leigh-on-Sea, plus he does instrument set-ups/mods as well as custom amp and guitar builds. BassBod
There is a thread in the repairs section, listing amp techs...should be one that’s close...
