ped Posted July 31, 2007 Author Posted July 31, 2007
Sickeningly nice sounding ain'it! - Hey Ped! When I get ma Pod, I'll have to trade some presets with you! (and sneak out with the B24 stowed away under my jacket tee hee hee!)
Thanks for the compliments!! For recording this bass I actually didn't use any model or eq at all on the passive recording as Nik wanted to hear it completely natural. For the others, I used a sparing dab of the tube pre and a little eq and reverb. For my live in ear sound I would probably have done the same.
ped Posted July 31, 2007 Author Posted July 31, 2007 You are more than welcome to come over and have a podfest with me and Luke!! I have uploaded a few of my staple in ear sounds to my FTP for safe keeping and can do that with all my settings for you to play with. Let me know when you get yours! Ped

ped Posted August 6, 2007 Author Posted August 6, 2007 Reduced to £600 collected, I need the money quickly because of the inability of the government to pull their finger out of their backsides. Thanks ped
Snarf Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I'll stick this thread under a few peoples noses, I know a couple of non-basschatters that are on the lookout for basses at the mo.
ped Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 Thanks Snarf that would be most appreciated.
ped Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 Some people have asked about the B string on the bass - I have just done this little recording of it so you can hear how tight and defined it is! Recorded with no compression or EQ, just the bass. Needless to say, with some EQ and compression you can really rattle your brains out through an amplifier! Hear it in the file attached, or Here Cheers! ped
ped Posted August 11, 2007 Author Posted August 11, 2007 Post eBay bump - couple of deposit wavers but I need a quick sale really. It will be at the SE bash on Sat. One other thing, I can arrange with John East to have coil taps for each pickup to be installed, plus a series/parralell switch if you want a 'do it all' bass... Cheers ped
ped Posted August 14, 2007 Author Posted August 14, 2007 SOLD - thanks very much and I look forward to having her back sometime! Keep her in the basschat family!
phagor Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Thanks ped, sorry to take her away from you! I'll let you and Basschat know if I ever come to sell her. I warn you I'm a bit of a hoarder, and the way she looks and sounds, I think I'm going to be holding onto her for a while!
ped Posted August 14, 2007 Author Posted August 14, 2007 Great stuff - I really hope she has a proper home with you!
Snarf Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Damn, good work there. Just got a message back from someone about this! Congrats on the sale!
