hi guys,dont know whether the picture will upload.but here goes...whilst looking on ebay for various accessories i came across a badass2 bridge with the saddles already filed,but to me look a bit too deep...how deep should they be filed and will these bridges fit underneath my bridge cover(ashtray)?????...cheers[attachment=1406:badass.jpg]

Hi Craig,

The badass will not fit under an ashtray I am afraid. The grooves - I wouldn't worry about the depth as you can always raise the saddle to compensate (although some have mentioned it might weaken the saddle if they are too deep but I wouldn't have thought so) but I would be more worried about the alignment - what was right on someone elses bass might be out of line on your own bass. On my mexi Jazz bass I had to file the G string slightly off to the right in order for it to be down the right part of the fretboard. For this reason I prefer Schaller bridges with the rolling saddles which you can adjust left to right.
