velvetkevorkian
Hey all, Has anyone tried the Digitech Hardwire DL-8 pedal? I'm looking for an affordable looping pedal and this seems to tick all the boxes- priced around the £130 mark so not the cheapest though. How does it compare to other similar pedals (Headrush, Line6 etc). Any opinions or suggestions welcome- mainly interested in the looping features rather than the delays. Cheers. velvetkevorkian
Bump back from page 4- the DL-8 is currently £99 plus £6 shipping from Absolute Music- anyone tried it? Is the Akai Headrush better? Currently leaning towards the Digitech for its smaller size and slightly lower price- any other suggestions? Toasted
What about the Jamman? There's ALOT more features there.
burno70
I bought an Akai Headrush for £100 about 2 months ago and love it. It doesn't have the features of the Jamman but as a straight forward, simple looper, it's the balls.
Toasted
How did I not remember the Headrush?

velvetkevorkian
What about the Jamman? There's ALOT more features there.
Mainly because I don't need a lot of the features it has. All I want is to be able to record myself and layer tracks on top of it- if I want to record it I'll use my PC. It's also bigger and more expensive. I don't need it for delays because I have a VF1 which does all I need there. The only thing I would really like (that I don't think can be found without spending a lot more money) would be multiple independent loops, but I don't care about being able to save and export them etc. Is that reasonable? Toasted
More than reasonable. These hardwire pedals got a ***** review in Guitar Buyer this month.
velvetkevorkian
Is that 5 stars or something untypeable?
The Cooler King
£130 is a lot for a pedal like this. Check out the Boss RC-2, should be ab;e to pick one up used for £85-90 and has longer loop time plus the ability to store 11 loops.
velvetkevorkian
The DL-8 is down to £105 delivered brand new...
Dosi Y'Anarchy
hey, the boss DD7 can be got for about £100 and i think it has a 40sec loop - double that of the DL-
velvetkevorkian
Well I bought the Digitech new locally, mainly as an impulse buy- decided to put my money where my mouth is for once and support my local independent shop. Will report back after I've played with it some.
