or

SWR Goliath III Bass Cabinet 700 Watts 4x10

SWR is a little cheaper, but i want my decision based on which is better. I'd be playing it with a peavey probass500 (375watts).

Thanks!

I've got to admit I've never heard of Avatar so I googled them. It looks like they don't have any UK distribution so you might struggle to find anyone who's used them this side to the pond.

Are you based in the States?

This might not be much help, but there was an Aguilar Tweed DB410 for sale here recently. In my opinion, if that is still available it will easily trump your other choices! It's not Neo though!!

I am in the US, so I can order the Avatar from their website.

and for being better, i was leaving it open ended to see what you guys think. is one better for a certain type of music ... is one known for being more solidly built, is one much more popular, etc. etc. etc. Just trying to find out about these cabs a little bit.

And I'm asking here mostly because I can try out the SWR, but I can only order the avatar online, and won't be able to try it out before i buy it.
The Avatars are meant to be good value for money, but as mentioned above not a lot of people in the UK will have used one as they're not readily available on this side of the Atlantic.
haha yeah i didn't really think that through ...

i think i'll end up going with the Avatar, as it's much lighter along with input i've gotten from a number of sources. thanks!
