Shuker series 2 headless bolt-on SOLD £800 sheffield

Next up is my Shuker series 2 headless bass built around a Moses/Steinberger carbon fiber neck. 

It has ABM tuner/bridges, EMG MMTW pickup (with series/parallel switching) into an EMG BQS system pre. 

The finish is of Jon's devising. He's overlaid a pearlescent texture over satin white which is quite subtle most of the time. Get it in the right light, though, and it shows off a green/pink webbing effect. I'll try to catch it in the pics......

The string spacing is 16mm, scale length 34" and it's light. Around 7, 7.5lbs I reckon. The body wood is alder.

Setup is low and super stable.

The sound is the opposite of what I imaged EMG and graphite would be, warm and growly as hell. Cut the mids, however,  and you get a super-sharp slap tone.

 

Condition is as new and the price is £800 with a padded gig bag, no offers or trades. Collection or meetup within about 60 miles is preferred, but UK postage is possible at cost.

Very cool and unique!  I had a Shuker and the quality of work was outstanding

He's under rated, if you ask me. I have four of his basses and they are all beautifully crafted by hand (pin router and hand carving, not CNC) and play as well as anything I've ever owned.

Probably just as well for my prospects of not sleeping in the shed for a while...this was/is lovely, and I'm a card-carrying Shuker addict...
