Happily decided to withdraw this bass due to a) lack of buyer interest (but mostly) b) its sheer awesomeness. These are INCREDIBLY good basses.

2020 will just have to see me buying more basses I think ;)

I still have the original manual and receipt including posters and private letter sent to me from Warwick in Germany when i had a few issues with the bass when bought new in 89 and it was returned to them in Germany from the Dealer i bought from. The Yamaha is certainly a gorgeous looking bass sir and i can only wish you well with the sale. Pretty sure it won't be long in selling.

All the best

Anyone up for a swap for a maple fretboard Stingray Classic (or indeed a sale/handover as I've got my eye on a bass on the board)

It's a starry night for want of a better description - black gloss but in the right light it has a silvery sparkle.

So is the finish like a black and gold sparkle?

And a weekend bump for this beautiful bass which I would keep if I was not on a one bass diet.

It's in gorgeous nick, light and well balanced. The platonic ideal of a BB3000A.

And did I mention it's Japanese and not Taiwanese?

I'll post some sound clips shortly...it's absolutely stellar...

WHY has this not sold ?

Basses don't come any better than this for build quality, playability and tone.

Plus the fact you don't see many of these about..

PRICE DROP TO 1050 QUID

The news is that I have a window to buy back an old stingray of mine - if that window closes I'll withdraw this beauty from sale. It's flipping fantastic...

This is a vgc Japan made 1987 BB3000A with OHSC (case a bit tatty but good working order).

Here's a selection of (late 70s/80s) noodling played on this authentically eighties bass. Do check it out with nice headphones if you can...

Loved the VID clip you added. Fantastic bit of playing on all styles.

Gorgeous bass, great playing.

Why has this bass not gone a long time ago. Its quite rare to see one of these for sale and Yamaha at its very best.
