Yea, definitley sounds like it, i'm quite intrigued, but my pedalboards pretty much set for now, interesting idea for a pedal though, that may be my next pruchase when i have some money.....

I'd be interested to try it, but it doesn't sound like anything my Cream Pie doesn't already do for a similar second hand price, and its a bigger pedal on a crowded board. I guess we won't know unless someone buys one ;p

Ive decided im definately buying this when i get paid next week. so i will let you all in on what this sounds like!

turns out this is a compressor pedal that can be used for drive. dunno if ill be buying now.

please do, iv been looking at this being very tempted to buy, but i think it costs a little too much for me to take a shot in the dark. Its basically a normal compressor with a drive knob, if you crank the drive to max you get a dirty overdriven tone from what iv heard, sounds fantastic

from the sound sample you cant really tell what part of the effect is in use.

Im ordering this tonight as ive heard so many good things about this!

By what I understood it is a compressed overdrive.
It looks like at low settings it only adds some grind and high end sparkle (good for slap, hence the name, I suppose) while producing full-fledged drive at high settings.
The sample's tasty, I must say... agoulding, tell us what's it like, will ya?

I love the idea of Russian pedals.

This pedal arrived the other day. Im really impressed with it.

It was essientially what i was looking for, i needed a proper bright growl that i could leave on pretty much most of the time. Id suggest try one first, I think im lucky that i liked it pretty much straight away!

The pedal steels the character of the bass in my oppinion. even more than the sansamps with this pedal all basses sound the same..i prefer the character;)

Quite possibly. But how you use it and what you use it with will contribute to how it sounds like of course.
