RayFW Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 GAS got the better of you Russ? Just got a Marcus myself and they are fantastic basses. This used to be mine and I missed it the moment it left my house. So much so that I bought another 'ray 2 days later. If I had the cash I'd have it back without hesitation but I'm skint at the mo' Unless you fancy a trade for an 08 Blizzard Pearl / Rosewood USA Precision Good luck with the sale.
wrinkleygit Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Always fancied a 'ray, strapped for cash this time of year, but if you fancy a straight swap for a status energy fretless together with a spector rebop 5,both in excellent condition, give me a shout, happy new year, mike b.

It's the nicest ray I've ever played, I just fancied someting new. I'm a bit fussy about the colour of the Precision, and I'm really keen to get a black/maple one to be honest, JJ Burnel style. Thanks for the offers Mike, but not quite what I'm after at the moment.
Linus27 Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Bugger, if this Ray had a maple neck I would have snapped this off you before you could say Marcus Miller.
Rayman Posted December 31, 2008 Author Posted December 31, 2008 Alternatively, I'm after a Gibson 335, or a Fender SRV Strat. Basswise, it's really a Marcus Miller Jazz I'm after first and foremost.
6stringbassist Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Is this still available ?. Where are you based ?. I'd like to get this possibly defretted.
Rayman Posted January 1, 2009 Author Posted January 1, 2009 Hi mate, yes it's still available. I'm in Manchester.
Rayman Posted January 7, 2009 Author Posted January 7, 2009 I'm specifically after a USA Fender Precision plus cash my way for this now.
captain black Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Hi, I have a 2003 Black/Maple P in great condition but its my main gigging bass at the moment. How much would you want going your way?
Rayman Posted January 8, 2009 Author Posted January 8, 2009 Well......my guess would be the Precision plus a ton on top? Assuming the P bass is in A1 condition. Usually mint Precisions go for around 550, and I'm after 650 for the ray, black/maple is my ideal choice too.
Rayman Posted January 9, 2009 Author Posted January 9, 2009 no mate, I'll give a last hike before just keeping it. It's a lovely thing, and I'll be more than happy to just hang on to it if no-one fancies it. Guess I'll have to save up for a Precision.
Rayman Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 PMs replied to thanks. Still open to offers of trades on this one. I rehearsed with it last night, and it was sublime, I just fancy a change.
andya Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I might be interested in a trade. Pic of my 2004 USA P bass attached.
Rayman Posted January 15, 2009 Author Posted January 15, 2009 Yep, very nice, is it an S1? Only problem is distance really, east coast is about as far away from me as it gets. Nice Precision though.
andya Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 It is an S1. I thought about the distance after I hit the button and it would be a bit a mammoth trek!
Rayman Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 Yeah, I think the petrol alone would cost more than either bass is worth.
