Extra long scale (36") strings

Apologies if this has been covered many times before, but does anyone have any suggestions for non-coated strings for a 5-string, 36" scale bass?

I currently have a set of D'Addario EXLs on, nothing particularly wrong with them but I can't help feeling like I could do better... Not a fan of elixirs, saw some suggestions of overwater strings in other threads, are there any others that I'm missing?

What's the bass?

I'm currently using Overwaters on my 36" Overwater basses because the standard medium gauge sets are close enough to what I want and easy to get hold of. Before that I was having my strings custom made by Newtone who at the time (mid 90s) seemed to be the only people who could make consistently good strings that weren't simply 34" scale 4 string sets.

It's a Bacchus Strong5-EXT36 (formerly owned by Ped and Waldo on here).

How much are the overwater sets? It seems their site is being redone at the moment so I counldn't find any price info.

Nice bass - if I didn't find Fender type shapes so uncomfortable I would have probably bought that from Ped.

TBH I've never ordered Overwater strings from their website. I normally buy a couple of sets each time I see them at one of the trade shows or Bass Day when I think a 5-string set costs about £15 (it's probably a bit more expensive normally).
