How do you builders feel when you see one played?

I am the the very proud owner of a bass made by @Andyjr1515. Because he's a close neighbour of mine he has the opportunity to see me play it live.

This has made me wonder, what goes through your mind - you builders- when you see one of your creations used?

Critical? Proud? Disappointed?

I'm interested to hear.

Great gig today, Neil.  I was on a tight time schedule so didn't have chance to catch up after you finished but the Daz Kelly Band just goes from strength to strength. 

Bass sounded great, too

It will be interesting to hear what the others feel. 

For me, I come away reminded to always use Switchcraft jack sockets and to take great care soldering.  I can't imagine how it would feel if silence suddenly descended...

I’ve had someone play one of my basses I assembled (I say assembled because it was a bitsa) who wasn’t a bass player but he is an awesome guitarist and all I thought was “DAMN WHY CAN’T I PLAY LIKE THAT!!!”

Oh and the bass didn’t sound too bad either............😀
