Annoying Twit
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KISS-GENE-SIMMONS-OW...ents_Guitars_CV Hmmm...... Is this really the bass that Gene Simmons used for most of his career? And the strap that he used on quite few of his tours. Couldn't he afford a new strap for each tour? And the first Spector bass ever made. THIS MUST BE THE MOST COLLECTIBLE BASS EVER! But 0 bids.
mathewsanchez
I checked the video for 'unholy' and it does seem to be the same or a similar bass used. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nwMpLHaDAq4 Seen best around 1:07-1:14. cetera
The photos ARE of the bass that Gene used.... but this seller doesn't have it. Notice he has ZERO feedback and is obviously out to scam. The ACTUAL bass sold for something like $25,000 at a US memorabilia auction a few years back to a big KISS fan in the US....
MB1
MB1. Some people!.... Surely this is worthy of a Basschat Official stoning! Edited January 1, 2009 by MB1
warwickhunt
Looking at the bidding it'll be interesting to see how this one eventually pans out.

noirpunk
For £3,600... if I a ) had the money and b ) knew that the auction was genuine would have very willingly paid every penny. Must be a scam though, I quite reasonably asked for the seller to send some more pics and I never even got dignified with a reply. A huge scam... just hope the winning bidder didn't pay up!
noirpunk
Yeah, I hope they didn't pay too. It's an absolute dream to own a bit of 'KISStory' especially one of the stage used guitars. On a similar note I'm rather happy as I've just recieved some pics of the Axe bass I ordered! I'm am more than happy, especially how much it set me back

The official 'Gene Simmons axe' or a custom build project?

I can't afford the real thing and even if I could I'd be afraid to play it!
