moth/rust
Anyone know if the Valeton amps are any good - for the money, obviously - or best avoided? love the idea of a teeny weeny amp head (I do lots of recording and stuff where a gert big combo just wouldn’t work). Or should I pay double, get 10x the wattage and go for a TC BAM instead? bear in mind I am on a budget - around £200 is about the most I can go... danbowskill
You mean this 1? http://www.valeton.net/html/en/index.php?ac=article&at=read&did=348 It's a good price at around £80 if just for home jams. I've had a few valeton pedals that have felt great quality and sounded ace Edited September 23, 2019 by danbowskill
machinehead
For me, a higher powered amp (200 to 250 watts) would be more useful, as you could also gig with it as well as record. I used to gig with a GK MB200 and it coped very well, even into a single 8 ohm cab. Frank.
Al Krow
Some good deals in the FS and worth keeping an eye out for something decent meeting your budget cropping up. This amp is in budget and has had positive comments from other owners (I've not had one myself, so can't vouch either way).
