budget bassist
What happens after 15 seconds? You stop getting sound? It stops entirely?

budget bassist
You haven't got some sort of demo version have you?
Place locaters at the strat and end of what you want to record.
That shouldn't make a difference, if you take the loop off then it just keeps going no matter where the locators are and if you put the loop on then it will still keep recording, but it will just go to the beginning of the loop again. Mike
There's buttons to the left of the time clock which stop the locators functioning as start/stop recorders - it's two small buttons, with similar symbols on them.
peted
Cubase LE came with the Zoom H4 I bought ages ago. I haven't really used it in anger, but when I have played around with it, it certainly recorded in more than 15 second segments. I can therefore say that this is not a 'feature' of the Cubase LE software, which is a cut-down version of Cubase which hardware vendors bundle with their soundcards to get you hooked on Cubase. Recommendations: Reinstall Cubase LE. Visit the Steinberg site and make sure that you've got the latest patches for your version of Cubase LE. Check any 'latency' settings you have with the Emu soundcard - it could be that the card can't keep up and therefore dropping the recording. leprechaun
Sounds like it could be only one or two things to me... First try going into the Project tab and opening Project Settings. Within here there is a Length section, if this is set to 15 seconds then that is your problem (this would be very unusual) anyway set it to something like 1 hour and click OK. Other than that it could be that the drive you a recording to has limited space available, it should tell you at the very bottom of the project window how much time you have available for recording based on the number of tracks you are recording/sample rate etc.. Check firstly that you have ample disk space, then check that you aren't record enabling more tracks than necessary. Let us know if you're still having problems...good luck!!
