Chezz55
The 3 Songs You Never Want To Hear Again - Ever What are the three songs (excluding Christmas songs please) that make your toes curl - the ones that make you want to throw a brick at the radio/TV/Jukebox. My three are: Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen (Why? - Great production but mind-numbingly boring) American Pie - Don McClean (Why? - Goes on and on and on and zzzzzzzzzzzzz) Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners (Why? - Words fail me, just awful) Over to the BassChat membership for comments, and nominations. Jeff29361
Anything on Heart FM, the only music I don't like is bland music.
ambient
I’m with you all the way with Bohemian Rhapsody, though being totally honest I can’t abide anything Queen did. Bat out of hell by Meatloaf. Moondance, it always reminds me of those very mercenary gigs with very bad jazz bands.

I’ve never listened to Heart FM, I can’t believe it’s worse than Smooth FM. My dad likes Smooth FM, I’m of the opinion it’s radio for people who don’t like music. It’s kind of tainted the song for me. 1

Just checked out the Smooth playlist, some tunes I could definitely listen to no problem, maybe that’s because I’m probably as old as your dad. 1
Frank Blank
Anything by Wet, Wet, f****** Wet. I can usually be relied upon for a rational ‘one mans meat is another mans poison’ attitude but when it comes to WWFW I find myself foaming from 3-4 varying orifices. 1
T-Bay
Shotgun, just bugs me, 500 miles or whatever the proclaimers rubbish is called and play that funky music, that one after a band member tried to force it on the band, so it now it just irritates me when I hear it (and it was rubbish to start with).

Cato
With me it tends to be stuff that gets overplayed on Radio 1 when I'm driving to and from work. there's a song by Miley Cyrus called 'Malibu' which for no particular reason I can put my finger on grates on me like nothing else. Chiliwailer
Yup, give me Therapy?’s first few albums and I’d be a much calmer Chili.
TheGreek
Anything by Oasis Anything by RHCP/Nirvana/that ilk In fact, virtually anything from late 90s/early naughties... IMO the most bland period for music of my life...

Cannot see that, they have such a range of styles in their music that you never know what coming next (which can be a good or bad thing). Nirvana- one of the best bands ever, but that’s just my opinion 🙂 if you had said jazz then I would have agreed........ horses for courses and all that I suppose. oldslapper
You said 3 songs. That’s hard but here’s my bottom 3 - Gold (Spandex Bolleaux) - Rio (Darren! Darren!) - Come on Eileen (🤭) Dyslexics Mindight Rimmers) Rubbish songs, sung by awful singists, in over rated beat combos. Sums up the 80’s mainstream music scene. ezbass
It’s easy for me to say anything by (insert artist name here), but I’d like to try for something more specific. These are the things that make turn the radio, normally tuned to Planet Rock, off: Bat out of Hell (it’s so long and meandering, with nasty guitar tone, basically cod opera). Sweet Home Alabama (done to death by cover bands and poorly at that). Anything by The Doors (sorry, I know I said I wouldn’t, but I really can’t stand them).
