wombatboter Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 Driving home from Oostende to Brussels last night I listened to the new mix of Abbey Road.. "You never give me your money" just does it for me the most but there is so much.. I'm very moved by the album again and I'm rediscovering it again for the x-th time.. 1 Quote

Hobbayne Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 (edited) The loud, crashing chord before the final song 'Her Majesty' makes sense now. It is actually the final chord of 'Mean Mr Mustard.' Well, that's worth waiting 50 years for!! 😉 Edited October 7, 2019 by Hobbayne 2 Quote
seashell Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Agree with the OP, a toss up between Come Together and I Want You. I have played 'Come Together' in public - when I was a real beginner and barely knew what I was doing. Had to concentrate really hard! I'd love to get the chance to play it again now that I vaguely know what I'm doing! 🙂 And I've never played I Want You. I'd really love to give it a go, though I suspect it might be a step too far! 🙂 Quote
chris_b Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 I like them all, but I've probably played Come Together more times than McCartney has!! We used to do the Joe Cocker version of She came In Through The Bathroom Window. That was always fun. 1 Quote

paul_5 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 My fave is 'You never give me your money' - lovely obligato/dusty end playing during the intro, nice little walking bit and some 'standard' rock/pop playing towards the end. I might have a go at transcribing that one. 2 Quote
