We tended to sort out structures with just the main core of the band (drums, bass, guitar and lead vox), then get backing vox and horns along at separate rehearsals. We got all 11 of us together in a room for the first time on the day of the gig. Lots of conflicts of interests with other gigs, money, etc etc. I think it was worth it in the end! Yep , got an 11 piece band as well , and it is a logistical nightmare , somebody suggested us doing a promo vid last year , we still haven't done it, supposed to be discussing this thursday ,we will see.
