BIG LEFTY MARKET THREAD

Yes you did. I love Warwicks. That Jazzman played awesome. But I don´t have it any more, because I didn´t like the sound of soapbar pickups. Too aggressive. I hope I will own a Warwick again.

Now I just play my P-Bass, so I hope I will find a buyer for my Jazz. It´s nice, has more a vintage sound.
I do have a Audio Demo. If someone want´s it, just send me a mail.

Hello,

I just spotted this thread – and as someone who is a partial lefty (I do most things left handed, but was made to write right handed and didn’t know left handed instruments existed), I’ve just had a thought:

Here at Overwater we have long felt the industry standard 10% up charge for left handed instruments is just adding insult to the injury of little or no choice – so we have always charged exactly the same for left and right handed basses.

Here’s my suggestion to even things out – if there any lefties out there in bass chat land who would be interested in having an Overwater built – we will make it for 10% less!

Chris

Josh, is this the red one you had from me ?
There was something about that bass which I never quite found on a couple of other Jazzmans.
fair enough! Was thinking about seeking out the jazzman again, do you have any idea as to whether the current owner is in love with it?
It is indeed Alan, I've been thinking about it quite a bit now my playing and ear for tone has improved and would really love to at least have another go on it. Sellers remorse eh? :)

Also, it didn't matter how battered it was but the upperhorn always looked simply gorgeous.

Nice!!

I've had a hankering for a thumb for some time now. Quite close to buying one from Thomann when the credit crunch happened and UK price went up about £150 almost overnight. Keep hoping someone's gonna put one up for sale sometime soon.

Well I mentioned this before but I'm now seriously considering letting my Shuker 5 headless go so just seeing if any interest here. Comes with original case and I'll be looking for £1200.00.
This bass is easily in the same league of craftmanship as SEI etc. Reasonably lightweight and easy to play with good balance.

Maple/Wenge Neck-thru.
Ziricote fretboard. Similar density to maple.
White Ash body.
Flamed Myrtlewood facing.
34" scale, 24 fret.
Blue side leds with external brightness control.
SD Bassline pickups (MM/jazz) with coil switch for MM.
Shuker 3 band circuit plus active/passive switch.

I find I'm mostly playing my US deluxe 4 now. Maybe age related but I'm starting to get back into the more traditional bass look.
I'll be looking for a high end 5 jazz type over the next few weeks, possibly ordering another Shuker if nothing used turns up.
Could also be into part ex on any basses as I appreciate £1200 is a lot of money so drop me a pm with what you have or any questions on the Shuker.
Hey guys. As some of you have already noticed, I'm thinking of putting my 1984 Wal Custom 4-string lefty up for sale. I have a thread running in the 'basses for sale' forum. Put lots of detail into that posting so if nobody minds I'd rather not repeat myself here. Apologies if this confuses anybody.

No photos ready at the time of writing, but should appear over the next day or two. I'll put them into the other thread and most likely dup them here.

I'm happy for this to take as long as it takes (within reason) - I'm not doing it to generate funds. Willing to explore options and happy to consider trades for something of broadly similar quality.
Occasional bump, just so folk know it's still around...
