LeftyJ Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Possibly. This one spent the last (less than) two years in Sweden (the first name of the last owner is even in the URL), interesting how it ended up in the UK now.
steve-soar Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010
Loved the early WAL's but could never take to the 5 string version, even though I'm mostly a 5 string player. Just never felt right to me. Was this the one that was floating around for near 1k a couple of years back ?
Yep.
josh3184 Posted October 6, 2010 Author Posted October 6, 2010 It is indeedy, I think i saw the Swedish owner put it up for sale on Arni's site a couple of months back- odd that it's now for sale again so quickly.

Pre EB basses are wonderful and super rare in lefty flavour.

Your post says fretted..
It was indeed my friend, it is now fretted! Done by mansons of exeter ( makers of matt from muse's guitars). Got it fretted to make more use of it, but finances as what they are its going to have to go in my reshuffle. Scale down to only 3 basses! Edited October 15, 2010 by patch006
josh3184 Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 ah that's a shame, I was hoping it'd be a 5er. Saying that I was thinking of doing the same thing with that bass when I first saw it haha! Contacted Mr Shuker about it and everything! Bet it sounds lush

I've decided I won't bid though, I already have two MC924's (two completely different beasts) and another '81 would really be over the top and probably wouldn't get much use too I'm afraid. An American guy I know from the leftybassist.com-forum is very strongly interested though (I know he's been searching for one for years) so I sent him your way, his name is Carmine. I will keep an eye on your auction though, I'm very curious what it will sell for
Dread Bass Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Anyone got a 7 string they would part with?
