rogerstodge Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Wouldn't mind a pic or 2 of the danelectro mate.
Lowend Stu Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 OK no probs! I hope these are good enough, by the way the SRG initials will come off!
rogerstodge Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Ive never really tried a fretless, shame i cant have a go of it but i'm in Dartford Kent
whynot Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 After playing my Shuker headless last night I realise where my heart is, so would like to move this on now. As mentioned before £600 including UK postage.
rogerstodge Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 (edited) Hi all, I have a CIJ olympic white 60s RI Jazz bass Lefty for trade, its a 1999 model i think, its in excellent condition although the lady i bought it from said it has a small scratch on the back of one of the horns but i can't find it.. this bass plays lovely, and as you prob' know they're on a par with the USA models. i would much prefer to trade this rather than sell it, i would be looking for a Jap Precision or maybe a Warwick??. let me know what you have chaps thanks for looking, Paul Back up for grabs if anyones interested?? Trades as above or £425.00 Edited October 1, 2012 by rogerstodge
LeftyJ Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited)
OK no probs! I hope these are good enough, by the way the SRG initials will come off!
Cool, I've never seen a fretless. Unusual pickguard shape, did you buy the bass with that guard already on? Edit: Nevermind, found my answer, it's a converted righty. Looks nice though! Edited July 16, 2012 by LeftyJ
rogerstodge Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 That can't be a converted righty can it?? Surely you'd see where the vol and tone knobs were.
LeftyJ Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Sorry, you're right. I was confused for a moment. On a righty the pickups are angled the other way
rogerstodge Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 With a name like "LeftyJ surely your'e interested in my jazz bass on the previous page? Nudge nudge
LeftyJ Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Sorry, already well-endowed in the Jazz department Have a Fender MIJ '75 Jazz reissue upgraded to my likings, and a very nice custom 5-string by a Dutch luthier. Actually that Danelectro caught my eye, I could fit the tone perfectly into one of my bands. I really like those quirky Danelectro's, they have a tone and character all of their own. They're unlike any other bass out there
rogerstodge Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Yea the dan does look nice, i'd like to have a twang on it , both my guitarists occasionally use dans so would look good with all 3 of us with one
Carlos Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 If ever you want to sell/trade the 75 RI, let me know, it might be exactly what I'm after...especially if you fancy an immaculate 2011 MIA Precision in 3 colour sunburst (again, see previous pages).
Lowend Stu Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 This bass was bought by myself new in1999 as factory built lefthanded, I in fact made the scratchplate myself from a blank bought from Allparts UK, as I did not like the the original, the lined fretless neck conversion was carried out by the great Marten Peterson at The Gallery Camden Town, a superb job he made of it too! he also replced the original controls with chrome ones, this intsrument has quite a unique sound and is near mint condition as most of the time has been in the studio or hanging on my wall, shame but that is why it has to go!
