Hi all,
I have a CIJ olympic white 60s RI Jazz bass Lefty for trade, its a 1999 model i think, its in excellent condition although the lady i bought it from said it has a small scratch on the back of one of the horns but i can't find it.. this bass plays lovely, and as you prob' know they're on a par with the USA models.
i would much prefer to trade this rather than sell it, i would be looking for a Jap Precision or maybe a Warwick??.

Cool, I've never seen a fretless. Unusual pickguard shape, did you buy the bass with that guard already on?

Edit: Nevermind, found my answer, it's a converted righty. Looks nice though!

Sorry, already well-endowed in the Jazz department
Have a Fender MIJ '75 Jazz reissue upgraded to my likings, and a very nice custom 5-string by a Dutch luthier.
Actually that Danelectro caught my eye, I could fit the tone perfectly into one of my bands. I really like those quirky Danelectro's, they have a tone and character all of their own. They're unlike any other bass out there

Yea the dan does look nice, i'd like to have a twang on it , both my guitarists occasionally use dans so would look good with all 3 of us with one

This bass was bought by myself new in1999 as factory built lefthanded, I in fact made the scratchplate myself from a blank bought from Allparts UK, as I did not like the the original, the lined fretless neck conversion was carried out by the great Marten Peterson at The Gallery Camden Town, a superb job he made of it too! he also replced the original controls with chrome ones, this intsrument has quite a unique sound and is near mint condition as most of the time has been in the studio or hanging on my wall, shame but that is why it has to go!

Body = Ovangkol, maple , walnut top and back
Neck = Maple and walnut
Semour duncan quarter pounders 2 x volume 1x tone passive.

This really is a top notch bass that sounds exactly how a fretless should with the sliver of maple for the fret markers.

I have had many basses and to date this has been my favourite, as they say nothing is forever and i fancy going back to fours for a while so may consider trader with nice 4 string.
