stewblack
These seem to come in budget batches of multiple units for very little money or plugs like this which are over £3 each. Anyone have any opinions on this fascinating subject? Edited October 7, 2019 by stewblack Recursive link (apparently)!
ahpook
Pssst - you have a recursive link. I'd beware of cheap plugs - I've bought some and they've been pretty poor quality. One batch I bought was actually too big to go into half my pedals ! Edited October 7, 2019 by ahpook
Teebs
I like these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01MUHFL4A/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=

ahpook
I like the square plugs tho - do let us know if you go for them and how they work out.
DanEly
Build yourself some proper patch cables and use these. https://custom-lynx.co.uk/product/kmmk-squareplug-sp400-the-smallest-solder-type-1-4-right-angle-connector-created-to-date/

I built a huge pedalboard for a band I work with using these. I probably wouldn't use anything else now. prowla
I find pancake plugs real sods to solder! I went to Dawsons once looking for cables with pancake plugs and they said they'd never heard of them. These days, for in-pedalboard, I use EBS Flats.

skidder652003
Not an expert on these but I know custom Lynx do great "tour grade" xlr mic leads
Chienmortbb
I have not used those, I use the Sommer HiCon. Although a different shape, they look to be similar quality. The hicons are black though. I have just noticed that these are for cable if a maximum diameter of 4.6mm maximum outside diameter. That rules out the majority of guitar cables. Microbass
I've been using the Donner one's from Amazon for the last few months. I've re-purposed a few to make longer patch cables using old guitar leads, very happy so far. Probably the best bang for your money.

The HiCon's seem vary in quality from connector too connector. The SP400's are one of the best quality plugs you can buy for compact/tight pedalboard builds. Sealing a plug can often be hiding a multitude of sins.
