1878
Hi, does anyone know if a lakland skyline 55-01 with bartolini NTMB is suited to playing metal or does it lean more towards jazz style? Ta in advance, Mark.
Machines
With the 2 humbuckers and 3 band EQ it should be capable of either really.

EBS_freak
It should cover most things... and like said before, the scale length gives a nice low B.
dave_bass5
Im pretty sure these aren't humbuckers in the 55-01. I had one and upgraded the pre to a NTMB and i used to get hum if i sat too near a CRT monitor or lighting rig. Although you still have the three band EQ you also have a mid range selector (i had a switch on the front of mine) and that seems to open up the EQ options quite a bit. I could get a really nice, clanky rock tone from them though. Edited January 9, 2009 by dave_bass5
