Interesting as Bass Guitar Mag features this and says product street price to be $289. Maybe they’re gonna be flown here First Class? 2 Quote

Lozz196 Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Seems a lot more reasonable, still not cheap but the quality of Tech 21 is well known, and quality doesn’t often come cheap. 1 Quote

After shipping, VAT and Customs you're probably still looking at a £100 saving i.e. nearer £300 Or if you're actually travelling to the US even better - you'll fall under the VAT and Customs thresholds for personal goods (assuming you're not bringing much else back of value that are 'imports' ) of £390 and you can then pick this up for nearer to £200. Which is what US bass players are paying. Edited October 12, 2019 by Al Krow Quote
dannybuoy Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 A lot of places devalue the parcel to like $15 so you won't get charged anything anyway. I've bought a lot of pedals from the US and most stores do this as they realise it's good for business! Quote

Cuzzie Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Of course we are assuming that it wasn’t a typo of £299 instead of £399 Its a big mark up from their usual fly rigs Quote
Al Krow Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 One easy way to find out what the correct RRP in the UK should be: let's ask @Tech21NYC 1 Quote
Guest Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 This looks interesting but for that price, no thank you. Why shell out all that money when you can get a pretty decent Steve Harris tone with bright roundwounds, a P pickup, low action, and a bit of elbow grease in the picking hand(+ maybe a compressor but this box doesn't have one anyways)? Guest kmac84 Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 Very interesting, I'm finding stages getting quieter and quieter to the point where i'm only hearing the bass through in ears. Nothing really from my amp. Good if one of these came up on here second hand. Quote
dave_bass5 Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 Another short clip. Quite like the tone in this one. 1 1 Quote
Lozz196 Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 It is showing some pretty good versatility between those 2 clips. 1 Quote
Tech21NYC Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 It's best to contact your local dealer for pricing outside the US. We can't predict or dictate the price as there are too many variables has previously mentioned. 1 Quote

One of our local retailers is currently quoting £399 = $500 (give or take a $). You can appreciate that's causing a few of us to hesitate and we're hoping it's a typo on their ad. [Aside: I'm loving my Red Ripper btw - guess it's now a collectors item since you've stopped production! No plans to replace?] Quote
Lozz196 Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 Again showing it’s versatility. I’m getting severely tempted by this..... Quote
garyt Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 I assume anyone buying this pedal has to be a West Ham fan, or not give a stinky poo about football. Nope , claret and blue 💩 Quote
