Aye thats what i was thinking. The headstock reminds me of that 6 string Squire VMJ that was on TB.

Heres the fretted:

Pleasingly practical though. Much better than the rubbish telecaster cup things, more accessible than an edge mount and it points the right way to go through the strap.

Quite a hefty price tag here.

£2200

I find it amusing that in the suggested other 6 string basses on that website are this and this

Also, that it the AAF bass isnt actually a fender? I hope...

Never heard of a Fender VI then? It's shorter than a usual Fender, but I don't think it counts as a Baritone guit. Roy Babbington of Soft Machine played one for years....

Price is ridiculous. You could get a lot better for that price, even a custom job with select woods. You're just paying for the name on that thing as is the case with most of the stuff Gibson do nowadays.

Has nobody told Fender there's a recession on.

The Fender VI is indeed was the baritone I was referring to, as it is indeed a baritone guitar, but I have been corrected by that other post. Which is semi awesome.

It is a Fender - it was only available as a special order iirc - Tye Zamora had (still has?) a contract with them.
