Its a bit of a train ride from you but seriously go have some lessons with Steve Lawson hes in london but is by far the best teacher ive ever come across

I thoroughly recommend [post="0"]chrkelly[/post].

I had one lesson with him (I returned to double bass after a long layoff) and he really helped me with my technique.

And he's in Catford, not far away.
