  1. 1. Can you folks help me identify the colour of this bass, please? Asking for a friend (no really, I am) who, quite rightly, hates brown basses but steadfastly refuses to accept that he owns one.

”I hate brown basses”

*buys brown bass*

As an aside, I had a brown bass once. Don’t anymore though.

I suppose yours is burnt Umber, or blue sparkly brown

Personally I’d call that ‘tequila skidmark’ but I’ll vote Brown just to back you up 👍🏼

Which is, of course, a slightly more palatable shade of brown than Autumnal dog egg. But only just.

Reminds me of the ochre smudge of pollution that sits over Manchester on a bright day.

So marketing probably called it Squitburst.

Or Honeyturd.

Tobacco burst (light brown with a dark brown edge)

so not only is it brown, it's two different browns

No, seriously. I used to drive daily from Nottingham to Stockport over the peaks via Chesterfield and New Mills. As you come over the tops you get a great view of Manchester and in the summer after catalytic converters became mandatory it was noticeable that the air over Manchester on a sunny day turned a lovely shade of browny yellow.

Just the colour of that bass next to the pickguard....

True, sadly :(

What had you done to deserve daily trips to Stockport?

You must have been very naughty... :/
