Help me identify the colour of this bass

  1. 1. Can you folks help me identify the colour of this bass, please? Asking for a friend (no really, I am) who, quite rightly, hates brown basses but steadfastly refuses to accept that he owns one.

Urinary tract infection yellow

Back when I didn't need to watch the calories, I used to have a penchant for banana flavour Dunn's River Nourishment.

The downside being that it turns your wee bright fluorescent yellow!

If it was a Rickenbacker it'd be Sh!tGlo.

I can't be sanctimonious though, I have a brown bass:

Can't complain, only paid £60 for it...

I’ve owned a couple of ‘brown’ basses, baby chod and derrière splat being the main ones, sometimes you just have to go brown

This is brown: Fender-Precision-Mocha-Lefthanded-1975-1

Didn’t Fender call these ‘Mocha’, or even ‘walnut’? Still brown of course though....😆

It's more or less the color of a Hazel nut, so that might do, if the word brown needs to be avoided, but Hazel nuts are brown so... Having been an art student once upon a time, Burnt Sienna is a shade of brown that I'd say could also fit this bass and that sounds even more pretentious than Hazel.

Probably walnut. They do another brown one called sunburst....

That Musicman is an odd colour - and what's happened to the fret markers? It looks like a darker honeyburst.

There is a far simpler solution. Email the serial number to Ernie Ball Musicman Customer Services and they'll tell you - I'm guessing it's a non standard one if only from the lack of fret markers.

My assertion has always been  that bass players are higher up the evolutionary scale than drummers - and guitarists - if some of the Basschat contributions to this thread is anything to go by, and is representative of all bass players at large, I may have to reappraise that view.......

You guys should have a go at defining Musicman trans green - now there's a colour!!

It’s honeyburst. Which is musicman for brown.

My Mrs tells me most basses are brown - of all types - and she's always right 👍😂

She calls my natural ash Stingray 'that wooden bass' 🤔
