dannybuoy Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 Two parallel channels with compression on the clean side by the looks of things... 3 Quote

dannybuoy Posted October 14, 2019 Author Posted October 14, 2019 The blend, I would guess. I also would guess that clean and dirty are XLR outputs. Not based on anything other than common sense, and the assumption that the guys at Orange are blessed with enough of it! 1 Quote
Al Krow Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 I'd love to know a bit more about this pedal, not least given the reference to square and sine waves (is this also a synth?) but intel on the net seems to be decidedly sparse - to the extent there's nothing on the Orange website itself! Quote
dannybuoy Posted October 14, 2019 Author Posted October 14, 2019 No, someone on Talkbass found it lurking in an secured folder on Orange’s website! The square wave is simply the dirty channel. Volume, treble, mid, bass, and gain. The sine represents the clean channel. Volume, treble, bass, and compression. Quote
2elliot Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 That looks interesting. Two foot switches would be better. Quote
bartelby Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Last year Morgan Nicholls (Senseless Things, Vent, Gorillaz...) posted this photo, and soundclip, of a prototype 2 channel pedal. Looks to be the same deal. It sounded great... Quote

Cosmo Valdemar Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Demo's finally up! I'm intrigued. The concept is right up my street. Most of the tones on offer here are way OTT for my needs but the sound at 1:30 is very promising. 2 1 Quote
dudewheresmybass Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 I like the drive stuff there. The cleans are pretty good too! Quote
bnt Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Thomann has this on sale for €379 or £322. At that kind of price, it's going up against the EBS Microbass 3, which has a similar spec and layout, but also has headphone out and aux in for quiet practicing. The EBS doesn't have separate clean/dirty channels, but it does offer separate inputs (for Rick-O-Sound fans), and the option of stereo FX return to stereo DI outs. Quote
bartelby Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 PMT have it for £319 with free delivery. https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/orange-bass-butler-bi-amp-bass-preamp-pedal Quote
Bigwan Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Orange are dreaming at that price... That's a fair chunk more expensive than the Darkglass X7 and the Tech21 dUg pedals that have similar feature sets (give or take). Almost into HX Stomp territory. Doomed to fail I'm afraid... Quote
2elliot Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Cool. I like how you sounds and the expression pedal option is handy. Price is a touch salty for my taste unfortunately. Quote
dannybuoy Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 Not a fan from that I’ve heard so far. The drive sounds rather fizzy to me and not a patch on Darkglass or Tech21. Quote
Cosmo Valdemar Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Another comedy demo but better tones on display than the Slipknot one. At least they twiddle the knobs a bit in this one. Quote

Musicman20 Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 I wonder if these are made in the UK for that price? Quote
bartelby Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 I think they need to get Morgan to do an actual demo video. Quote
