splund
I recently bought a second hand Cort GB-PJ bass, I like it very much but I felt the need to change the flimsy bridge for a more sturdy one. When I removed the old one, I noticed the fixing screws were not that tight. After fitting the new heavier bridge the bass seemed to have lost a bit of its woody resonance. I was just about to put the old bridge back on when I remembered the loose screws when I removed it. I slackened the new screws off just a tiny smidgen, about 1/8 turn, and the tone returned to normal. Is it possible I imagined this? I have only had the bass for about a week and im still quite new to playing, the difference in tone was very slight. Anyone else noticed something similar?
