If you're worried about the machine heads, those are standard on many of the 5 string models, presumably to cut down on weight. Quote

As it happens, I played one of these at a local music shop a couple of weeks ago, and didn't like it at all. Got a decent review in BGM though. Quote
waynepunkdude Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I would have looked at the tuners and got a bit suspect though. Quote

Bassassin Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Jack might have a point, though. It could be argued that Fender make a lot of bad copies of their own instruments. Jon. Quote

mathewsanchez Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I think five strings all look a bit wierd. Except maybe the stingray 5. Quote
budget bassist Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I don't like the headstocks on stingray fives though, it just looks wrong... Quote

And a wider spaced bridge... Umm and a separate chromed control plate like on the 4's.. But apart from that..... Quote
josh3184 Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 oh big plus one on the separate control plate... Quote
