Eddy Green
In May this year I bought a brand new Schecter bass and was very happy with it. However, a week or so, finding the batteries low I decided to replace them with 2 new Duracell 9v items. One battery went in with no problem but the other, when connected, immediately became very hot, almost too hot to touch. This happened when 2 other batteries were tried in the same connector. I immediately contacted the supplier who without any fuss arranged for the instrument to go back to them for investigation. They later let me know that the bass would have to go back to their supplier, a process that could take up to 30 days. At this stage I have no problem about the way the issue has been handled by my supplier but wondered if anyone had experienced a similar problem with an instrument? LewisK1975
Sounds like a short circuit to me.
