Sibob Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 (edited) The Bass Gallery in Camden did a de-fret on a 5 string i had a few years ago for £50 with maple slip fret lines. Not sure what they're prices are now, check their website, but you shouldn't pay anything more then that i reckon. If you want an unlined fretless fingerboard then you would have to have a replacement fingerboard built, i had a quote from a luthier of £250 for a new fingerboard, but that was fretted, so unlined fretless would probly be less. Having said that, i guess you could just get the Luthier to put the same wood fret lines as the fingerboard and the lines would be less obvious. Si Edited July 30, 2007 by Sibob Quote
