I might be wrong, I usually am, but aren't Eurosonics rebadged Presto Nylons? I.e. They're sold as Presto Nylons in Europe and Eurosonics in the USA. I have Presto Nylons on my bass the love the feel & sound. Best of luck.

Yes, they have a steel core. I've used them with magnetic pickups.
