kevbass Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 I have no clue when it comes to status bass guitars, but is this a very early status? or a crude home made job with status components thrown in it? OutToPlayJazz Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Yes, that's what it looks like. The body certainly isn't Status & Rob Green would never let even one of the older wooden necks out of the factory looking like that. Perhaps the Status bridge, tuners & pickups would be worth salvaging, but this is definitely not a real Status bass. Quote
Dood Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Vintage headless??? VINTAGE HEADLESS?? Wouldn't even use it as fire wood. There are some really 'special' people on ebay huh? lol lol Quote
The Burpster Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Oooh thats a proper bolt on neck, that is! Jeez its worse that Frankensteins Monster..... Its a bit like one of those 'chew yer arm off' moments..? Quote
EdwardHimself Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 8 people have actually bid for it, the thought of that thing selling for any higher than it is now just makes me cringe! Quote

Alun Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Hmm, well if you need half a Status bridge and a string retainer..... bleeurgh no, it's no good - I can't be positive about it. Tis horrid. Quote

bass_ferret Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Well at least the guy selling it is not pretending its not a piece of sh*t! Quote
