Fender Jaguar Bass Made in Japan MIJ - Matching Headstock.

SOLD

Another one I’ve thought long and hard about, however I’m gravitating to different basses in the band, and this has stayed unplayed for too long now.

Made in Japan between 2007-2010

Good overall condition for a bass that is around 10 years old.  There are just a couple of lacquer chips missing on the back of the neck are all that are really worth mentioning.

Switchable active EQ (bass & treble), pickup on/off switches and phase switch.  Nice clean neck  - save for the two small chips - , block inlays on the fretboard.

This is the made in Japan version, not to be confused with the cheaper Made In Mexico or “player series” or “modern player” versions.

These basses have all the sonic options you could wish for, once you get the hang of the switches, see the diagram in the listing  for an explanation of the controls.

Comes with a Fender branded case, it's seen better days and doesn't quite close flush / tight at the bottom end.  Has a few stickers on.  It's still more than serviceable though, maybe think of it as a consumable.

Note these is a little “hum” in the electrics in some locations or venues– if you google / research this you will see it is common comment on these basses.  I have a tiny amount of hum in my garage at home, but there is none present at our band rehearsal space.  It’s certainly been nothing to cause me any issue in rehearsing or playing live.  I just though it was worth mentioning.

Fender’s blurb:

Pairing offset cool with Fender's low-end mastery, the Fender Jaguar Bass in Hot Rod Red packs a pair of single coil Jazz Bass pups, series and parallel pickup combinations, and active/passive electronic options for a wide spread of tones in one instrument.
Made in Japan, the screaming finish is accented with chrome hardware and a rosewood fretboard with pearloid block inlays
