Deedee Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 Just thinking out loud on this one. I’m a big fan of Trace SMX models and one of their most useful features, the EQ Balance control. I know the SMX compressor pedal was made available with this feature, but I’m curious to know if any other pedals are available that have this simple EQ balance ‘tilt’ facility? Quote
Kiwi Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 FEA Labs Dual Band Compressor Limiter. I have one for the same reasons. https://www.fealabs.com/ It's great. Digitech did one too but I thought it was crap. Way too much colouring. 1 Quote

Possibly a bit overkill for what I was thinking. It's more the EQ balance 'tilt' facility that I'm interested in than the compressor functions. Quote
Deedee Posted October 29, 2019 Author Posted October 29, 2019 No, it's just for that ability to quickly alter your EQ to suit a room without having to adjust the graphic. It's a very useful feature that I've used a lot on the SMX and previously on an SM too. I'll probably just hold out until another SMX pedal comes up for sale again. It's only for when I'm taking one of my older non-SMX TE heads out for a run. Quote

Plenty of builders out there, but www.sfxsound.com specialse in these kinds of 'utility' effects. I think @Silent Fly is the guy who makes them. 46 minutes ago, ahpook said: Could you ask someone (here, maybe ?) to make you a pedal based on a schematic ? Jinx @Jus Lukin ! Quite possibly. I know a chap locally who could probably do one for me actually. Many thanks 👍 Quote
Jack Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 The Thunderfunk heads have one, and there's a tilt eq block in the helix. 1 Quote
paul_5 Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Tilt eq is really simple to make; dual gang potentiometer and a couple of caps. That’s a ‘cut only’ circuit, so you might need a recovery stage after that. 1 Quote
funkydoug Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Aguilar pedals have tilt eq, like the agro, and a few others too I think 1 Quote
