thisnameistaken Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Before I go to all the trouble of getting a friend in Australia to buy me one of these and ship it over, I thought I'd ask to see if anyone knows of a UK retailer selling them for a price that isn't totally heinous. Or if anyone knows any private individual that's considering selling one used? I've decided I definitely do need one now, it's just a matter of where to get one. Quote

It's not as if there are irreparable faults on the current units. Quote

It just seems to me to have been rushed out, and there's lots of users reporting crashing / hanging and when you're spending $600 you really shouldn't be getting that. Personally, two footswitches and two knobs doesn't seem like the most effective user interface either. I also massively disrespect Godlyke from stopping private stores in Australia selling to individuals in the UK. It really gets my damn goat. Quote

I use oscillator tones a lot, and lots of different filter settings, so having a programmable filter in there too makes it almost irresistible. Anyway: Does anybody know if it's feasible to shop for one in the UK, or should I call a friend in Oz? Quote

I looked at the FreqBox but that's too noisy, my Pulse Synth is a bit tricky to tame too (although a bit of attack delay from a BMS helps massively), the G5 is nice but I only use the sawtooth and it's HUGE... The most obvious omissions to me are a program down footswitch and an exp. input. But it still looks like a great box. Quote
