ash Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 (edited) A nice old Mustang I was looking at but a bit heavy for a shorty. Bought for £1199 from Rich tone then flipped with a potentially hefty £550 profit if it sells at BIN and not even a best offer in sight.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1977-78-Vintage-Fender-Mustang-Bass-Original-Black-with-Original-Hard-Case/303343882733?hash=item46a0b451ed:g:czMAAOSwhvpdu6Bd Edited November 8, 2019 by ash Quote
LukeFRC Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 always the way- shop is judged on shifting new units of stuff, take PX in and secondhand to help that happen - but will price it to sell as the cash flow is more important than the potential value of the item... someone else thinks it's underpriced they buy it and try to sell it for more, because likely for them the potential value of the item is more important than the cashflow. 1 Quote
Deedee Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 Totally agree. Richtone (along with many other stores) will give you next to nothing for a trade in, but the plus side with them in particular is that they do sell those used items on at very, very competitive prices. 1 Quote
ash Posted November 9, 2019 Author Posted November 9, 2019 Personally I thought that the Mustang was overpriced at £1199. 😉 1 Quote
Deedee Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 I’m not too clued up on Mustangs tbh so not sure whether that’s good or bad, but I know they do have/have had some good used bargains when compared to other stores prices. Quote
