Jesus that’s cheap - get it bought. These go for £500-£600 depending on the wind...

There’s  a Yahmaha BX-1 for the same price, I can’t afford either,  tempting as it is, I think the BX-1 would be the one I’d pick...

Cool, that's what I was hoping for.  The new one uses a landing strip for a neck.

This one is lovely, just like my CS jazz. Slim but round, bit of depth to it (my CS is 64 width with 75p depth...)

Debating what to do - there’s a potential trade in the offing for a Lakland, but if it doesn’t happen, keep and refin is an option. Can’t deal with how black it is.

Sounds like my old Thumb neck. Could be tempted.

Well this lad with the lakland is very excited and had 1st dibs, if not I’ll let you know.

I’m really thinking I should pay some chunks off debt.

I’ve messed about with the jack socket as much as I can stand. It’s been fine for a couple of days after being cleaned out; it’s gone crackly again.

Ordered a Neutrik replacement.

Also, the action was great, but I felt it was a little high at the bridge end, so without much travel on the saddles left, I added a small neck end shim just to give me the option.

Holy crapola - this thing plays amazingly well...

It’s a nice looking bass, but it doesn’t match the fantastic colours of the rest of your collection - I’m coming around to the idea of a respray!! 🤣

Lake Placid Blue keeps on saying something...or a lime green metallic

This thing plays brilliantly. I can’t put it down...

when I get this jack socket fitted...I’m going to be in a right bind...it’s time to have a think...

Nice colour! I’ve been watching your thread with interest as I have a passive 87’ Fender Jazz  Special (The one that G N R Duff uses). They’re superbly made basses and like you say they really do play brilliant 😊

I have a really early (A-serial number, non-export model) passive version. That thankfully (for me) has a 42mm nut as I hate Jazz profile necks.

Just something to watch out for, they're not all the same 👍

Noooooooooooooo!  Leave it as it is and either grow to love it or sell it to someone who likes it as it is!

If it’s staying black, it’s getting a ghostbusters sticker on it.
